PSL 9 Foreign Players Registration has been open for the upcoming 2024 Pakistan Super League season. PCB announced it on October 25, 2023. 

The HBL Pakistan Super League is from February 8 to March 24. PCB will soon finalize and announce the category of refreshes for the local players. 

The pick order for the retention draft for the upcoming season will also be shared once the trade window opens. However, in the next PCB meeting, the final schedule will be confirmed. 

In addition, after the accomplishment of the nation’s Twenty20, the retention will be finalized ahead of the PSL 9 foreign players draft. Its date is mid-December due to the national T20. The point to note is that the final date of the national T20 is 10 December in Karachi.

Moreover, if we talk about the winners of the previous Pakistan Super League season  2023.  Lahore Qalandar is a winner of PSL8. In this final match Lahore Qalandar defeated Multan Sultans at Gaddafi Stadium.

On the other hand, Islamabad United ended the season in third place. Further, Peshawar Zalmi was in fourth place. Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators  were fifth and sixth on the standings  respectively. 

Additionally, the 9th PSL Pakistan Super League season has six teams. Therefore, there will not be any additional team. 

According to the source, PCB is struggling to introduce more venues, but the PSL 9th will not be shifted to Dubai as teams are not willing to go abroad. All the franchises show disagreement about foreign venues for the upcoming season. 

What’s more, if there is a fear of election dates during the PSL 2024 schedule, maybe the PSL 9 schedule will undergo some changes.
