In England and Wales, there is a professional Twenty20 cricket league called the Vitality T20 Blast. The 18 first-class county teams from England and Wales are split into two groups of nine for this event, which is put on by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).

A round-robin group stage follows the competition’s quarterfinals, semifinals, and final. While the second- and third-placed teams in each group compete in the knockout stages to decide the other four quarterfinalists, the team with the most points at the end of the group stage advances directly to the quarter-finals.
