Brad Currie and Harrison Ward Signs T20 Blast Contracts With Sussex

Sussex team, one of the eighteen first-class county clubs, is delighted to announce that Brad Currie and Harrison Ward signed T20 Blast contracts with Sussex.

Brad Currie is a Scottish player who started his trial with Sussex in mid-2022. At Lord’s, he took a six-wicket haul on his first-class debut on July 19, 2022. In the Royal London Cup, he performed very elegantly. He took 12 wickets in eight matches, so the team reached the semi-finals. 

Additionally, he made his List A debut on August 2, 2022, for Sussex. Brad is now ready to become part of the Sussex team in T20 Vitality Blast.

On joining the team for the upcoming T20 Blast, he showed his excitement. He said: “ I am joyed to still the part of this team”

“I am grateful for the opportunities that this new contract will  hopefully present to me”  

“I hope I can create and be a part of some more magical nights for the fans and the club in next year 2024.”

Harrison Ward is the most skillful batter and part-time spinner. He has also signed a T20 Vitality Blast contract with the Sussex club. He was born in Oxford.

What’s more in the 2021 T20 Blast he made his T20 debut for Sussex on  1st July, 2021. And he is famous for his right arm off break. And Last season England’s player Ward made 165 runs in just 7 appearances.

Moreover, Ward made a half century for the Sussex Shark. So he did this by achieving the highest score of 57 in the Vitality Blast. 

Moreover, Harrison also expressed his delight in this new contract. He said that I was happy to have signed a contract for next year’s T20 Blast with Sussex. 

“We expressed towards the end of the Blast that we have a Taem’s squad that is more than capable of qualifying for the quarterfinals.

“With that in mind, there is a lot to be excited about at Sussex and I look forward to serving to win more games of cricket for the team.”

Sussex head Coach comments:

Paul Farbrace, head coach of Sussex shows positive comments on signing the new contract of Hariison and Brad. 

Sussex head coach briefly said about Harrison that he is an aggressive top class batter who can put energy into the team I think.  And Paul further said that we can keep improving and help us with our approach to T20 Blast cricket.

“He has shown glimpses of ability and we all feel he could turn ability into consistent performances with continuous hard work”.

 Paul Farbrace commented on Brad Currie by saying that: 

“Brad expressed high quality with the ball and in the cricket ground last season in T20 cricket. He swings the new ball and can bowl in all three phases. In sum he said, “We are excited that they have committed to our plans moving forward
