The Big Bash League (BBL) is a professional Twenty20 cricket league in Australia. The league was founded in 2011 and is currently contested by eight teams, each representing a different city or region in Australia
The BBL is one of the most popular cricket leagues in the world, with millions of fans around the globe.
The BBL season runs from December to February each year. The teams play a double round-robin, followed by a playoff series to determine the champion.
The BBL has been won by six different teams in its ten seasons, with the Perth Scorchers being the most successful team, having won the title four times.
